The activity of ¡°appreciating peonies and wisteria is held in April and May every year in the scenic spot; Hongluo Cultural Fair in Golden Autumn is held in September and October; Hongluo Temple Fair is held during the period of the Spring Festival.
Imperial Bamboo Groves:One of the three marvelous sceneries of Hongluo. Planted by Yunshan Chan Master in the Yuan Dynasty, the bamboos have more than 600 years of history. Emperor Kangxi used to come here to appreciate the bamboos. Millions of bamboos are green all the four seasons, and the paths in the bamboo groves are winding along. It is the best scenery of Hongluo Temple.
 Maidenhair trees:Located on both sides of the platform of Daxiong Palace, it is one of the three marvelous sceneries of Hongluo. The female tree is on the east side and the male tree is on the west side. Both trees are about 30 meters high, with their ages over 1000 years. There are one main trunk and ten branches growing at the foot of the male tree, looking like a small forest. It is great pleasure to appreciate the maidenhair trees at all four seasons, especially in autumn.
Chinese Wisteria on the pine:Located in front of the Three Saint Palace, it is one of the three marvelous sceneries of Hongluo. Two wisterias are winding upwards around the pines, with the crowns covering 400 square meters. The wisterias are in their bloom around May 1st. One will marvel at the harmony between the pine and the wisteria. The Stele of Daming Temple in Hongluo Mount in the Yuan Dynasty wrote, ¡°listening to the bells in a slightly windy night, the Buddha¯s warriors are guarding besides the wisteria¡±. It can be seen that this scenery has more than 800 years of history.
Garden of Five Hundred Buddhist Arhats:Located in the ancient pine forests to the east of the temple, it occupies an area of 20 hectares. The 500 Buddhist Arhats are divided into 10 groups, surrounding the Maitreya. They are all different in looks and expressions. A mysterious cultural atmosphere is formed, set off by the deep and tranquil pine forests.
Temple of Mother Buddha: Located in the oak forests half-way of the Hongluo Mount, it has a secluded position and a tranquil environment. There are three levels of palaces built along the mountain slope, respectively Shanmen Palace, Mother Buddha Palace and Huicheng Palace, in which the Mother Buddha is worshipped.
